Caerleon’s National Roman Legion Museum re-opens

  • Labour Councillor Gail Giles was delighted to be one of the first to visit our National Roman Legion Museum on its re-opening day (20th May 2021), having been a keen supporter since her days as an Archaeology student at USW Caerleon Campus and as a local Councillor.

“It was wonderful to have the opportunity again to see this amazing collection which shows what life was like in Caerleon 2000 years ago including day to day objects such as pottery, coins, clothing, cooking equipment, exquisite jewellery and much more.

I would encourage everyone to visit. The staff were all very welcoming in a well organised and safe environment. I congratulate Dai Price and all his team and wish the museum every success.”
