Caerleon Community Carol Singing 2018

  • Another successful and enjoyable Community Carol Singing was organised by Gail and Jason this year and attended by almost 200 Caerleon residents of all ages. Held inside the Town Hall, due to inclement weather, the crowd was entertained by the combined Choirs of Lodge Hill and Charles Williams schools supported by Gwent Music and Gwent Youth Brass Assemble.

The event was led by the Rev Sue Patten and the children and adults sang along to The Holly and the Ivy, Oh Come  All Ye Faithful, Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, along with several other favourites welcoming in the Christmas Season.

Gail and Jason said “despite the awful weather it was lovely to see the community coming together to celebrate Christmas with the children from the local schools making the evening very special for everyone by singing so beautifully. We thank everyone who has assisted and joined in this festive occasion and wish all Caerleon residents a very merry Christmas and happy New Year”.
