Caerleon Labour councillors’ new responsibilities

  • Congratulations to our three city councillors who all have taken up new responsibilities at the Civic Centre.

    Gail Giles is Cabinet Member for Licensing and Statutory Functions. This means that she has responsibilities for emergency planning, environmental health, trading standards and taxis.

    Cliff Suller is Deputy Mayor of  Newport, a Member of  the Education, Schools and Training Scrutiny Committee and a Member of the Licensing Committee.

    Paul Huntley is a Member of the  Economic Planning and Development Scrutiny Committee, a Member of the Planning Committee and also sits on the Greater Gwent Joint Arrangements Commitee which runs the Crematorium.
