He was installed on May 21st in a ceremony at the Civic Centre.
He has lived in Caerleon for 40 years – first joining Newport borough council in 1990.
He has served as a Caerleon Councillor for a total of fifteen years. He regained his seat last year after losing in 2008
Cliff says he’ll work throughout the year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.He was born in Maesglas, and spent much of his working life in the docks industry.
Cliff is a member of the board of the Newport Citizens Advice Bureau, sits on the governing bodies of Caerleon Endowed Infants and Caerleon Comprehensive Schools and is a trustee of the Williams Charity.
