Cutting the red tape at Lodge schools

Rosemary Butler AM joined Caerleon councillors, governors, school staff and pupils to mark the official amalgamation of the Lodge Junior and Infant Schools.
Former pupil Caroline Sheen (seen here with Rosemary Butler), now a West End star, attended and sang at the ceremony.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Cliff Suller was given the job of cutting a red ribbon which stretched 190 metres between the two sites.

The newly amalgamated school will now have a combined roll of 288 pupils.
