An application to change use at the Old Clawdd Piggery site on Bulmore Road for a “Gypsy Pitch” and the keeping of horses has been turned down by planning officer following pressure from local residents and Labour councillors. The application was refused because the applicants hadn’t shown that they were genuine gypsies, and they hadn’t shown that there would be:

    •  adequate traffic access
    •  reliable community services
    •  adequate sewage facilities
    •  no adverse impact on the rural character and appearance of the area
