The miners’ strike – setting the record straight

  • Our branch secretary, Tony Jermyn, has written to  Ed Miliband and the Labour Party’s Living Standards Commission asking them to support our call for an enquiry into the way the Tory Government acted during the miners’ strike in the 1980’s. The recent release of Cabinet papers relating to the strike has, in our view,  reignited the anger and sense of betrayal felt by many of our members in South Wales.
