The sun shines on Caerleon Labour Party

• Caerleon Labour’s annual summer party turned out to be a huge success.

  Members, supporters and friends turned out in force to enjoy the sun in the garden of Radford House – once again we’re grateful to our hosts David and Barbara Gilfillan.

  

  Branch deputy chair Theresa Hughes, in a close finish with former branch member Chris Edwards, won the fiendishly difficult quiz compiled by Derek Butler.

  

  Paul Flynn,  who spoke passionately against military intervention in Syria in an historic  debate in Parliament earlier in the week, discussed the issues with branch chair Mike Singleton.

  

  Jayne Bryant from Newport West, seen here with last year’s Mayor of Newport Councillor John Guy, is now well on the trail in next year’s European Parliamentrary elections. She’s number two on Labour’s list in Wales.
