Well done Jayne! Now let’s get the European vote out

  • Jayne Bryant from Newport West has done brilliantly by becoming Labour’s number two candidate for Wales in next year’s European Parliament elections.

There are four seats in Wales and there will be four names on the Labour list, headed by the current MEP Derek Vaughan. The outcome of the election is based on the overall vote for each party rather than on individuals – so it’s important that as many Labour supporters as possible turn out to vote for the party next May.

Jayne, as a member of Paul Flynn’s staff and a former member of Rosemary Butler’s staff, is well known in Caerleon and Newport. And over the last few months she has worked tirelessly to become well known amongst Labour Party members in Wales as a whole.

Caerleon Labour Party supported her candidature from the very start of the campaign. Well done and congratulations Jayne!
